Finding The Right Catamaran Charter

By Lisa Davis

When you planned the vacation tour to those islands at the Caribbean, you and your friends used a yacht as a means for travel. All of you enjoyed the marine vessel that took you sailing and island hopping. The company which you rented the yacht also has a vessel known as BVI Catamaran charter.

Nicknamed as Natures Little Secret, these are composed of islands that range from small to large. British Virgin Islands has four main islands that are popular to tourists. These are Anegada, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, and Tortola. You can search for available travel guides online at travel websites such as Online Cruising Guides. What you downloaded will be the basis for the places you want to visit.

However, your travel would not be completed without a sea transport vessel. The yachts that the company is going to offer are the bareboat Catamaran fleets. Catamaran or Cat for short means logs tied together which comes from the native word of Tamil.

This type of fleet is a watercraft that has two parallel hulls in equal lengths. The hulls are connected to the boat deck. For larger vessels, cabins are found on the deck and in the hulls. Some of them have a trampoline for a deck which makes the hulls go forward.

Your chosen vessel varies in length and in accommodation. The number of people in your group will depend on the size of the sail boat you are using. One vessel can hold two people while another can hold fourteen. In terms of sizes, a small one has 39 feet in length, medium ranges from 40 feet to 44 feet, and large spans 45 feet or more.

Amenities and facilities need to be naturally installed inside in order to be habitable. As long as your group has a maximum of ten people, the small Cat can accommodate you all. Available rooms are only four double cabins. It has two comfort rooms on each side of the hull. However, air conditioning is unavailable. Shore side air conditioning is only available on certain models.

For the medium Cat, it houses a maximum of twelve people. It has a generator powered air conditioning unlike small Cats. It has four double cabins with one bunk cabin as well. It also has four comfort rooms available in each corner.

A large Cat can accommodate fourteen people in its full capacity. Your group can enjoy the air conditioning powered by generator in every corner inside the boat. You all fit in the four double cabins, as well as two bunk cabins. There are up to six comfort rooms inside which are spread apart inside.

Each size has a corresponding bonus features within the boat or the company has given you. In small ones, the boat has a chart plotter, GPS and autopilot, along with snorkeling and safety gear, cellphone and VHF, and chart and cruising guide. Medium sized has saloon TV, fusion DVD sound system, underwater lights, and cockpit fridge and ice maker. Large sizes have settee on fore deck with awning, water maker, transom gas barbeque, and GPS with wind instrument and autopilot.
