By Beryl Dalton

One of the most interesting vacation to go to are a tour on vineyards. This is where the magic of wine happens. And if you are a fan of the drink, this is simply something that you have to try as well. Through this, you would know the entire process of how your favorite beverage is made. There are different things that you have to prepare first if you want this to be something that you would remember.

There are several things that you can do to make this vacation something that you would remember. But first, you need to identify the place where you are going for the trip. There are also different winery facilities in Stony Brook, New York that you can visit. If Paris is such a long shot, Stony Brook wine tours can be an option for now.

You will purchase some bottles. This is a known fact already. That is why, you need to have boxes at hand when you do. It is very easy to go by a liquor stores and purchase boxes. There are also those who use Styrofoam holders which makes it more stable to hold the bottles. You do not want to waste precious wine because they continuously crash into each other.

And you have to consider hiring a driver. This would be the best option since you would be driving several miles away from the city itself. And then, you will surely get a little tipsy. It is not very wise to actually be in front of the stirring wheel when you are not in the right state to do so.

Bringing your kids is debatable. It would be a very good experience for them. However, they would be very bored during the process especially if you are already in the tasting room. In this case, you need to ask any personnel from the vineyard if they have something that might distract or entertain your kid while you are doing your thing.

You need to make sure that you are on time or earlier than your schedule. What makes the whole experience even better is you get to share some ideas and chat with the owner of the vineyard. And if they are busy attending to other guests, you would not get the once in a lifetime opportunity.

Politeness is a prerequisite. It is true that you are a guest. But you went there because you know that you would experience tasting something that would become expensive sooner or later. And the least that you could show the owners of the place is the respect that you have for them.

You need to know how to answer the which favorite wine do you like question. This is the usual question of most participants to strike up a conversation with you. A little research would help. And of course misdirection would work as well provided that it is smooth. To be safe, just stick with the research and try to learn as much as you can.

You might be tempted to have more than one glass but try to fight the temptation no matter how delicious the wine is. You might get drunk without you knowing it. And the usual scenario after this is something you do not want to happen.
