Without this, one may not be allowed to go on with the hunt and if they decide to proceed with the activity, they may end up serving time due to this. It is also important for the hunters to choose the period of time which they wish to conduct their harvest.

For those who are somewhat new in this endeavor, they are often advised to always be in the company of a well trained and experienced tour guide. This one is usually familiar with the entire area and acts as a huge source of help in navigation and giving recommendations that will help the team. Though he comes as an added expense to the people on tour, he ensures that individuals remain safe in the presence of such dangerous animals.

It is also important for those taking part in the tour to do prior research before going to the actual field. They are supposed to know what kind of alligators they want and also on the hunting methods they will use. This is so because there are many fake companies who only aim at exploiting their customers.

Taking part in this type of venture is very dangerous. Alligators have been known for being one of the most dreaded water animals of all times. They are known to attack mercilessly and when individuals least expect. They are responsible for taking the lives of many hunters which calls for people to be extra careful when taking part in this type of hunt. Considering how dangerous this activity is, all hunters have to be adults which means they have to be above the age of eighteen, or be in a company of an adult if they are not; however, only those who are above sixteen years are allowed to take part in the hunt. Going on these ventures while intoxicated is never allowed or even carrying any beverage as this can be distracting and result to deaths. Usually, equipments used in these hunts such as earmuffs and firearms are provided.

Those taking part in the tours are often advised to carry their personal effects such as sunscreen, hats, rain protection gear among others. Alcoholic beverages or intoxicated passengers are never allowed to be part of the team. In addition to that, the tour team is not held responsible for any accidents which happen or for the loss of personal items. Also, the tours are often open to cancellation in the event of bad weather.

To sum up the above, Louisiana has been known to be the home of alligators. Each year however, the government issues several permits to both local and international hunters to take part in this hunting expedition. A lot of patience is however required as these animals may sometimes decide to hide under water for several hours on end.
